Our Facility

Located near the epicenter of the Gulf of Mexico’s oil & gas operations area, SeaTrepid International’s new purpose-built ROV training, testing, service and support facility in Robert, Louisiana is well positioned for easy access to major ports along the northern Gulf of Mexico region.

The new facility features a computer-based learning center featuring state-of-the-art ROV simulation along with hands-on electronics, fiber optics and hydraulics workstations for robotics technician training.

The center-piece of the facility is a 40′ long by 30′ wide by 16′ deep in-ground wet test pool for simulated intervention testing as well as final acceptance testing of small through work class ROV systems. The pool is lined with high-test anchor points for performing bollard pull testing of full WCROV systems to 200 h.p. The pool bottom is embedded with hard concrete for setting of submerged drill string, jacket structures, pipe and tooling on bottom for full intervention testing in preparation for fielding a work package offshore. This feature, along with a 54,110-square-feet sturdy 6000 p.s.i. concrete foundation and 1200-amp 480VAC 3-phase power stub-ups, allows for powering/testing/heavy lifting of full work class ROV systems and hydraulic components as well as support for large Launch and Recovery Systems.
