Title: General Shop / Facilities Hand SeaTrepid International, LLC Robert, LA
Do you like to work outdoors? Do you work well independently, and in small groups? Are you mechanically inclined; just a little? Are you willing to work hard at a job with little to no oversight? Would you enjoy a job working on something that everyone sees daily? We have a job for you!
SeaTrepid International (STI), LLC is a small privately owned International Offshore and Terrestrial Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) company currently working in two continents. We have a 6.25 acre lush facility with fruit trees, live oaks, 30’ x 40’ x 16’ chlorinated / filtered robotic test facility. We have a 2-story Warehouse, 2-story Administrative / Sr. Management building and three (03) additional out buildings, as well as a large concrete laydown yard and equipment staging area. This facility has an immaculate front property practically rendering the industrial portion unnoticeable from the street approach, making it one of many things most commented on by first time guests. Person hired to fill this position is directly responsible for continuing this positive “first impression” as well as the care and maintenance of the remaining facilities.
We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting, hard worker that exudes great pride in every facet of their daily work assignments. The position is full time (40+ hours weekly) and reports to the Warehouse Manager within the Operations Department of STI. The employee is required to provide at their expense steel toe boots (to be worn daily) and long pants (blue jeans without holes).
As a small company we quickly bond together into a cohesive team allowing us to overcome large tasks that would otherwise be unable to be accomplished by just one or two personnel. We’ve been called to mobilize large projects on short notice requiring an “All Hands on Deck” effort and have hosted tours to Congressmen and Senators. Additionally, we’ve supported Hollywood movie scenes filmed on our facility. All of these events and others may lead to an occasional requirement for additional work hours beyond the normal 40 hour work week.
Your Day – to – Day:
- Attend daily (M – F) morning safety meeting at 0800
- Conduct quick facilities walk around / pick-up and site assessment of areas needing specific attention
- Meet 1-on-1 with Warehouse Manager (WM) to cross over with needed Daily Assignments (DA)
- Agree with prioritization of DA’s
- Commence shop / facilities DA’s as agreed with WM
What You Bring to the Team:
- Your personal drive and motivation will be key in maintaining the polished “first impression” with every employee, guest, and support contractor that enters the facility.
- Personal high quality standard of excellence in everything you do knowing that you only have one chance at making a first impression.
- Willingness and ability to work independently achieving assigned tasks with energy and efficiency
